  10. SCHOOL-MOM is one of the most comprehensive children's educational      
  11. programs available.  SCHOOL-MOM is a complete educational tool for      
  12. children, ages 4 to 14.                                                 
  13.                                                                         
  14. Multilevel modules are provided for Math, Music, English, Spelling,     
  15. Art, and Time.                                                          
  16.                                                                         
  17. The Math module contains four levels of addition and subtraction,       
  18. multiplication and division, and four levels of pre-algebra math.  It   
  19. also contains two arcade math games.  The first, Laser Blast, is a      
  20. counting game that teaches quantity.  The second, Applespider, is an    
  21. exciting game that drills the student in basic addition, subtraction,   
  22. multiplication, and division.

  24. Three music modules let you use the keyboard to write tunes as you      
  25. watch the notes appear on the screen.  The first level allows eight     
  26. notes to be played in seven octaves.  The second level allows the note  
  27. duration to be changed.  The third level allows sharp and flat notes.   
  28. Tunes can be edited, played back and stored.

  30. The English module contains three learning levels.  The first level     
  31. teaches children how parts of speech such as nouns, verbs, adjectives,  
  32. and adverbs are used in sentences.  The second level teaches sentence   
  33. structure.  The third level teaches subject-verb agreement.             
  34.                                                                         
  35. The Spelling module contains three sub-options -- Alphabet, Random Word 
  36. and Homework Exercises.  The Alphabet option is used to teach upper and 
  37. lower case alphabet letters.  The Random Words option flashes words on  
  38. the screen and gives you three seconds to spell them.  It has four      
  39. levels.  The Homework Exercises option can be used to enter the daily   
  40. spelling homework so the computer can drill the student on the words.

  42. The Art module gives students the chance to be creative.  Draw, Spider  
  43. Webs, Space Tunnels, Space Worms, and Space Ribbons are the five        
  44. options available in the art module.  The Draw option allows the        
  45. student to draw freehand with either the joystick or the mouse. The     
  46. Spider Webs option allows the child to control the actions of a spider  
  47. who leaves a web behind him. The last three sub-options allow the       
  48. student to create beautiful screen art with three-dimensional qualities 
  49. using either a joystick or the keyboard.

  51. The Time module has four learning levels that teach children to tell    
  52. time.  A ticking clock is shown on the screen and the student must      
  53. choose the correct time from a list of three answers.                   
  54.                                                                         
  55. The Exam module allows the teacher or parent to create and score        
  56. multiple choice examinations.  Two exams on US Capitals and US          
  57. Presidents are already provided.
